I often speak about spiritual growth and stagnation in my Bible studies. If you've attended Surrendered for a while, you've definitely heard it come up at least once. It is an issue that is always on my heart...probably because I feel that spiritual stagnation is always looming around every corner of my life, threatening to make me an ineffective Christian and minister. If I stop growing spiritually, then by default, I must be stagnating. I fear falling into that rut where I just keep maintaining without ever desiring to move forward in Christ, or where I have no new vision for what the Lord wants to do in Surrendered. It's no wonder why Peter's exhortation to pursue growth reverberates within me.
